Then: an old system, problems with information exchange, issues with maintenance and supervision. Now: a streamlined system which is easy to use, where traceability is built-in and it's easy to handle new clients.

Strålfors wanted to make it easier for both their customers and their suppliers to exchange information with the company, whilst at the same time making system integration more effective throughout their departments. e-man's task was to devise a strategy for integration and bring it to life.

The new system has been embraced by the organisation, their previous solution made it hard for Strålfors to grow as they had expected. Strålfors have many daughter companies in many different countries and this means they must handle various different IT, business and product systems at the same time. The different structure and technology used in the old system made information exchange difficult and complicated. Thankfully their successful new system integration makes it possible for the business to expand as they wish.

After the new system integration, exchange of information at Strålfors is now completely streamlined. Everything looks the same, everything works the same way and the entire system is easy to use. It's now easy to find information, traceability support is built-in and the homogenous system reduces the time it takes to deal with new customers.

At the system's core is Microsoft BizTalk which organises information from each layer of the business processes and acts as the hub for information management. TIBCO EMS (Enterprise Message Service) was also used for the distribution of messages and adapters in Core Solutions to simplify the integration of some systems.
